Erick Brenstrum
A senior forecaster with the Meteorological Service of New Zealand, Eric Brenstrum has over 30 years experience forecasting the weather. He has written extensively on meteorology for publications such as New Zealand Geographic, New Zealand Flight Safety and the Evening Post, as well as scientific journals in New Zealand an overseas. He has taught students of meteorology at Victoria University and members of several successful New Zealand crews in the Whitbread round the world yacht race.A keen outdoors enthusiast, he frequently gives talks about weather to tramping and yacht clubs.
Erick Brenstrum has twice received Communicators Merit Awards from the New Zealand Association of Scientists for his writing and has also received a Henry Hill Award from the New Zealand Meteorological Service for his contributions to meteorology.
