Canvassing the country, New Zealanders voted for their favourite poems from anywhere in the world, with the top 100 poems published in this new anthology. The result is a wonderful, eclectic mix of the poems that we as a nation genuinely love. Thus Hone Tuwhare's 'Rain' rubs shoulders with Rudyard Kipling's 'If', Denis Glover's 'The Magpies' mixes it with William Wordsworth's 'Daffodils' and James K. Baxter's 'High Country Weather' sits next to 'The Road Not Taken' by Robert Frost.
